Description

The Black Hammock Wilderness Area (BHWA) is a 700 acre site located in east<br />
Seminole County near the town of Geneva. This site contains a diverse collection of native plant communities and wildlife and helps protect important recharge areas for<br />
the Geneva Bubble (local aquifer). Additionally, the wetland habitats of this property filter water on its way to Lake Jesup. The trail takes you on a boardwalk over a mixed hardwood swamp, through pine flatwoods & sand pine scrubs.

Directions

From Geneva on 46, your going to take 426 south. Your going to past Lillte Big Econ State Forest (Barr St) trailhead, it will be about 1/2 mile past that. Your going to turn right on Van Arsdale St, then left on Florida Ave. Then right on Stone St., the right on Howard Ave. The trailhead will be at the end of the road on the left.
